Playing Hide & Seek with Mushrooms Day 1

Do you like mushrooms? I do. But it's one way to buy them at a local supermarket and it's quite the other to go to the forest to find some. Fall, sunny and warm as it is this year, is quite the season to spend some time outdoors, so we've decided to spend it you already know where.

Suillus is a very popular mushroom in Ukraine. They grow in young pine forest and that can be a problem as pines grow quite fast and young pine forest which was young three years ago now can be 'grown-up' with no suillus. Luckily, my dad knows where to find the right forest.
Another problem is mushroomers. They like picking them the same as we do. But we managed to go so far away that there were no one except us and suillus.

Oh, sorry, there were lots of living beings (my younger was so happy to find them all). We've seen many playing mantis

And this was only the second time I've seen them in real life. They are very scare in cities, but they are not in pine forests as I found out.

We've came across lots of Araneus - garden spiders

It seemed they were on each and every pine, so their sticky web was all over my hair and the first thing I made coming home was washing it out.

We also found this funny sleepy caterpillar

But of course we were looking for mushrooms while they were accurately hiding

Tired and happy we came back home with the trophy!

After having some rest and then spending a couple of hours! peeling mushrooms we've decided that that was not enough and we are coming back. But this is quite another story:)
